Now if you are thinking that MLG is just another gaming competition it is not. If you would take a look at their website at www.mlgpro.com, you will see just how big the league has gotten over the course of 4 years. Now you also need to know that big time companies like ESPN, EB Games, Dr. Pepper, Stride, Panasonic, Bungie, and Microsoft sponsor the league itself.

If you do not already know video games are billion dollar industry. Nearly 15 percent of that money is the hardcore gamer and competitive gaming aspect. MLG alone has more than 5 major sponsors and the hundreds of small sponsors that may need products like yours at each of the events year round. So if you sponsor me you don’t only get the recognition of the enormous crowds of 10-45 thousand people at every event but the recognition of all the sponsors of all the other players and teams of the event as well.
MLG event’s are broadcast live on the internet via live feed to over 300,000 players and fans watching world wide. Later in the year the events are than played on air on various television networks. ESPN will most likely be the network to play the events this year because of the fact that they picked up the MLG as a whole this year. That is huge on its own. Not only will your company or product be seen by the players, teams, sponsors, spectators, and fans online. But, your company may be seen by the nation because of ESPN.

I have been playing Halo competitively for 4 years. I have competed in many LANs, ( Local Area Connections) with 40-200 people, and Local and online tournaments also. I have placed no less than 2nd in all the local events and my team and I place pretty well in every online event so far.

Now that you understand all the live event benefits you could get by sponsoring me, I would like to talk about the ways I can get the knowledge of your company out to the gaming community. If you sponsor me I will put your company name in the Bio of my Xbox Live Gamer tag. That will let anyone who looks at me on Xbox Live see who I am sponsored by and they might want to check out your company. I will also make a banner or logo for your company and put it on a Myspace, Facebook, my MLG Profile, My Game battles profile, any team’s profile that I am on, put it on our team jerseys, and wear your product if I can and shirts that promote your product as well.
This sponsorship is for things I need like air fair, Hotel stays, passes and entry fees for tourneys, and most important to get the word out for your company.
That is my proposal for a sponsorship. Now knowing how big MLG and the video game industry is, I see no reason why anyone would pass an opportunity like this up. I am more driven than ever to become a top pro in the MLG Halo 3 pro circuit. I practice on average 6-15 hours a day.
