Q&A - Self Interview

Can you tell me about your racing history?

I started in karts at the age of 8 with alot of success from the start, taking the championship my first year! I had my first experience in Stock cars when I was 9 in an Ex championship winning mini and managed a 2nd. I re-returned into Oval Motorsport when I was 13 which threw up a huge fuss as I turned up in a completely stock Vauxhall Nova and was still just as competortive as the "tuned cars" with "money backings" When I turned 14 I descided I wanted to have my shot in the contact side of the sport! 6 years on ive got myself out there and become a known and freequent Driver known as a "Entertainer" as I like to keep the croud happy by putting in the big hit even if I am leading! I descided to pack in the karting when I was 18 as I did not have the time for both formulas. I have around 50 wins threw out my racing career. At the start of 2009 I gave up the Banger racing to focus back on Karting But I liked the look of drifting so this year I have been putting together a Nissan 200sx (S13) To compete in the BDC (British Drift Campionship) in 2010 if I manage to get a licence as you have to compete at certain events to obtain one.. There are 2 classes, Pro level which I am aiming for and Semi Pro level drifting.

What inspired you to race?

I have always been around Motorsport from a young age. My grandfather used to Rally and my Dad used to Circuit race in a saloon make class.

What has been your high-lights in your career so far?

My highlights.. definitely my first win! That meant alot to me and seriously boosted my self asteam as I went into it not being known and being "the new boy". One of the Drivers I looked up to approached me and congratulated me on a number of wins and close races, he gave me alot of tips and advice pretty early in my career. 2009 NKA (National Karting Association) I went into it just for fun and qualified all the way threw to the grand final which is being held this weekend at Daytona, Milton Keynes

Is there anyone you would like to thank?

My mum! She has been there from the start giving me 110% support, She definitely plays a huge part in my racing. She will help fund my transport, moral support and even get her hands dirty helping fix the car.
